I'm sorry I've not been really in the right mind to blog so I'm not going to be all pretend-chirpy and happy for the masses, and I will be removing myself from the netscape for the meantime until I find my motivation to socialize again. No point mooring my dark cloud over everyone else, kan?

Those of you who are and have been there for me, thank you. I'm going to be a pretty moody and passive person for awhile but I'm working on finding a groove I can hang on to again and be back up running full force.

I MISSED MR KLANG PARADE THIS YEAR!!! Aaaarrrgh. Couldn't take leave cos all my colleagues were going to watch... leaving me to take care of the gym... :( But nevermind - Mr. KL my turn to take leave!!

Well congrats Azwan for bringing home first place in the Juniors category... and Joseph for placing 4th on his first competition! :)

Sigh. I miss training already. Obssessive... I know right. Somehow theres nothing like a good sesh with weights to clear the mind.

"Every woman should have 4 pets - a mink in her closet, a jaguar in her garage, a tiger in the bedroom, and a jackass who pays for everything."

Just a quote I found on one of the pole forums. LOL-ed so hard at it. XD Think it's gonna be my new fave for awhile. Hehehehehe.

Oh dear God I have no life. Someone take me out pls. Zzzzzzz.

---------------

But hey at least I had a pretty damn awesome weekend! Met the national bodybuilding team from Singapore... they were down in KL to train with Wong for about 8 days... so Wong invited me over to hang with them for a little while. No pics unfortunately... #1 cos they just finished training and everyone was in a lazy mood just chilling out... and #2 it honestly didnt cross my mind. LOL. Missed training with them cos of sudden change of plans... but I managed to grab a really good back day at F1 Fitness with Wong which was just as great. :)

And Ernie's finally home from his two-week rendezvous in Indonesia. Really glad that he had a good time - he deserved the time out immensely... and I also enjoyed having the extra time on my hands to catch up and spend more time with other people I haven't been out with for a long time - Ash, Chris, Su Fen.... I've gone visiting other gyms... gone to see Joseph at FF Summit (best of luck at Mr. Klang Parade this weekend!!) and also dropped by the Royal Malaysia Air Force (RMAF) Base to grab a workout with the TUDM fellas! I really believe I've taken for granted how much I love and enjoy being with other people and ultimately I think I need to learn that life does NOT revolve around the boyfriend!! :D Oh don't get me wrong lol Ernie is still a very loved, pampered and cherished and bullied person in my life. Haha.

Ok I need to go do something productive. One more week before college begins and all hell breaks loose. ZZZzzzz.

One of the songs I'm currently obssessed with!!

Ayat-Ayat Cinta by Indonesian artiste Rossa

Beautiful video... I could watch this over and over again. Rossa too looks so beautiful and feminine in this vid, dontcha think?? The song completely caught my attention the first time I heard it on radio. The melody just has such a lilting, haunting quality to it (the dramatic piano tones!! *gasp*).... I totally *heart* Rossa by the way. :) Do happen to really like several of her other songs too, 'Pudar" in particular cos it's so mischevious and cheeky-sounding!

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

OOoooo lookie what I got! :P

Sorry lah tempted to brag abit. Currently on cloud nine. :)
So the bf was away in Jakarta and Bandung for the past few days... came back to KL for a little while before shooting off again to Bali with his friends....

Had so much to tell me about his vacay... Am seriously wanting to go to Jakarta now... Apparently they have huuuuuuge wholesale shopping complexes... all sorts of good food... and gyms are everywhere!!! And Gold's Gym Indonesia.....

Has the coolest shirts ever!!!
Omg I never knew until Ernie went there and brought me back one. :DDDD

Seriously.... original Gold's Gym shirt. Not some ripoff pasar malam self-printed stuff okay!! Totally love it!!!

Oh and that wasn't all.

You wouldn't believe.......

:DDDDDDD
Thanks to his friend Stepfanus's wife too... he brought me back this gorgeous Victorian dinner bag!! *squeals* Wheeee!!!! And I've been looking out for something like this in dark red, black or cream for so, so long..... My bf is the best, kan.... :P lol

On top of that.... his friend's wife is gonna help him order the false eyelashes that I wanted to get... and mail them to him in Bali. You have no idea how grateful I am and how over the moon I am right now..... lol.

I know.... Long time no update. I'm sorry I haven't had much inspiration to blog these days.
And geez. The hols have been busier than I bargained it to be. *sigh* Sheesh where'd all that rest and relaxation go!?

Ernie's gonna be away in Indonesia with friends for the two weeks of my hols too. :(
So much for quality time with the bf, eh? Lol. But no matter... hehe. I'm taking the time to spend catching up with old friends and hanging out with other people for a change.

So today Ash and I went out for lunch.... I've been meaning to hit Saba Restaurant in Dataran Jelatek - my fave hang in Setiawangsa for good, no AMAZING Arabian food. Now I'm a massive fan of Middle Eastern cuisine... and this is really the best I've had. (Thank you Terry for introducing the place to me last Raya!! :P) But when we got there at 1pm... we forgot about the Friday prayer time and found Saba wouldn't be open till 2pm!!

Gyaaarrgh bummer!

So since we were there.... and didn't want to wait for another hour (Ack. We'll come back another time kan? Hehe).... we popped by this other restaurant called Souk Beirut.

It's a rather nice place... air conditioned... small but comfortable. Didn't manage to take a pic of the interior. x.x

We ordered 3 dishes to share.

Hummus and minced beef, which comes with lebanese bread.
The minced beef was awesome! Well spiced, and wonderful with the hummus and olive oil.

Some sort of Lebanese pizza... can't remember what it's called... but it's got turkey luncheon meat and cheese on top. Generous serving of meat and cheese... but this was not very different from a regular pizza.

Their mix grill platter which consisted of lamb, beef and chicken kebabs, some sort of thin, crispy bread, and a pungent raw onion salad. The meats were very flavourful and strong - the way I like it!! And it is also served with a very pungent and unique white sauce.... can't figure out what it is made of... but damn that thing was really really good!

All in all I guess it was a really good experience, even tho I was a tad dissapointed that I came all the way and didn't get to eat at Saba. Souk Beirut too has good food, even tho it is slightly on the pricier side, and I wouldn't mind eating there again if I had to. :)

So I've had an incredibly harrowing and upsetting week. Exams. Training. Clients. Elbow injury.
What a ride it's been.

I've been very upset about my elbow injury from a poling accident... training has been completely appaling with yesterday being at an all-time worst - I can't even do a single push-up without being in excruciating pain... huge ego slap considering I dish em' out 30-50 at a time. *sigh* It's going to be another long, boring road to recovery. (As long as I keep my hands faaaar far away from pole tricks...)

But anyhoo today I'm considerably happier!
I've been grappling with the idea of getting my own compact camera for a long, long time. It's been a headache what model to get - so many brands... so many prices.... Ugh. But I think I'm very happy with the purchase I made today! So..... tadaaa!

Say hello to my new Olympus u-Tough 8010!! *super excited*

Ok yeah. Crappy photo. Sorry that was taken with my phone

Here is a better picture of my new cam. Hehe....
The 8010 is the latest model of the u-Tough series. Am completely head-over-heels in love with this baby. Like it's name... it has a very tough, rough, "hardcore" looking design. Probly the most manly and masculine piece of gadgetry I own today... (Poor thing feels so lost in the midst of it's very pink, rhinestoned stepsisters. LOL)

On top of that... it is a whopping 14 megapix, x5 optical zoom. And true to it's name... it is crush-proof (100kgf), freeze proof (-10 Celcius), and 10m waterproof (yay snorkelling!). And most importantly - it is 2m shockproof. Now this is an investment well made considering the terrible butterfingers I've got!

And there's also a sophisticated "locking" system on the battery/card cover, with two layers of waterproof rubber edges. Ok yalah bad photo... blame the phone. Well you'll get to see it for yourself if you run into me. Lol. And from now on I shall be taking better photos too!

So how much would a hardcore action cam like this cost? Set me back about RM1.5k.

But it was a tough decision to make okay.
The competitor?

HOW COULD YOU SAY NO TO THE IRRESISTABLY CHIC, SLIM AND PINK
Sony DSC-TX5!?!?!?

Yeap I was there a long, long time... seriously considering picking this one up. The Sony wins hands down style-wise. (And OMG it matches my shiny pink phone too!) It is slimmer, smaller, and much easier to slip into a pocket compared to the u-Tough's bulky frame. It has a huuuuge touch screen too. Like my God, look at it!! That cam just has my name written all over it, right? Riiight!?!? *flails excitedly*

But but.....
I had to tear my greedy eyes and hands away from this one.... considering....
The Sony DSC-TX5 is only 3m waterproof. And 1.5m shockproof. 10 megapixels. x4 optical zoom.
It is a first-generation cam - the first waterproof and shockproof cam Sony has come up with whereas the u-Tough has been in the market for a long time, and has been improved and upgraded over the last few models. The DSC-TX5 also comes at the same price as the u-Tough 8010. So... for the money's worth... I gave up the cute pink cam.

So here is my u-Tough. Happily charging and nestled in my... err.... sock basket. Lol. Overall I'm really glad I got it and can't wait to take it out! :D Yay! My very own camera!!

And no don't worry I'm not about to cover this one in pink rhinestones too.... LOL.
I think it looks pretty darn fabulous the way it is, in all it's masculine glory!
