So we are back from our weekend 'getaway'....

First of all would like to thank my client IMMENSELY for letting us have this two-night stay at One World Hotel.... and this opportunity would not be possible without her gift - room rates are pretty exorbiant, being a 5-star hotel. It was a refreshing break for Ernie and I... just bumming around having nothing to do... eating... sleeping... eating some more... Lol.

On to my post.... food picture heavy!! :D

Pic taken from the lobby

Me and my obsession with giant chandeliers...

And our room!! Beautiful, cosy, and wonderfully romantic. :D

The 32" flat screen TV

WITH a personalized welcome message too!
Damn... even they got my name wrong.... =.=

Oh and it comes with a wireless keyboard instead of a remote control.
It's not just a TV... you can surf the net, order movies, play games, and even buy karaoke songs thru it!!
Tech-y stuff...

The selection of TV channels :D

Some of the stuff at the minibar...
Oh yea. They're also well-prepared against a desperate case of Honey-I-Forgot-The-Protection....

The bathroom was really nice too... with BOTH a rain shower and power shower!!

Throwing the diet out the door.
Pretty worth it cos we paid student price (Rm22+)... and well... you all know how much the both of us can eat........... XD

Yum yum.

Unagi and soft-shelled crab hand rolls

They give you this free bowl of udon too... I suppose it's to fill you up so you can't eat as much...
Hahahaha. Never works. :P

Salmon and cream cheese... a pretty good combination

Some vege tempura thingy... It came out really soggy. =.= The sauce was pretty good tho.

There's this new pet shop that opened at 1U and they have prairie dogs!! For awhile I thought they were illegal tho...

And it's back to bumming at the hotel...... And annoying camwhoring.

=.= I honestly don't know why he makes funny faces all the time.

Guess what. On day 2.... my usually grumpy boyfriend who hates early mornings was wide awake at 6am. Why? Cos of the complimentary buffet breakfast =.= The way to a man's heart is thru his stomach indeed. *cranky, groggy, muttering Kim*

Okay. From this pic it doesn't look like much.... but One World Hotel provides the LONGEST breakfast buffet spread that I've ever seen!!! The selections and amount of food was craaaazy.... they even give you stuff like salmon and seabass steaks!!

Pretty bubble deco thingies....

Cute kan?? Haha...

Pastries

Cereals!! One of my fave ways to begin the morning...

The wide selection of cheeses

Salads and all kinds of main dishes

Bread pudding and some other stuff...

Pancakes, waffles.... and the breakfast bar where Ernie ordered his usual giant egg-white ommelette.
Ohoho.... and you thought that was it....

Cold cuts

The "mamak" section... with all kinds of sambal and roti...

Dim sum...

And the yogurt bar...

Lol. Mini servings.

And cos we woke up so early for breakfast......... we went back to bed after that.
We are two very, very fat lil hamsters indeed......

Spent alot of time just walking around 1U... watching TV and lazing around swaddled in the thick hotel bathrobes... annoying each other lol... we also met up with Kevin and his girlfriend in the afternoon.

And of course eating some more. *pokes growing paunch*

Well that that food's gotta go somewhere too... and wherever we go... we sniff out the gyms.

Swanky, no?

This is the first hotel gym I've been to that actually has it's own studio. Like whoa.

And their super techy treadmills....

Each one has a touch-screen TV!!

People these days are too lazy to even count their own reps???

Baby sweating it out

And right after that we caught Angels and Demons at GSC. I thought it was pretty good - I personally thought Angels and Demons was my fave Dan Brown book of all. Enjoyed the movie very much... they changed it from the book here and there as they always do, but it still hits the spot. Worth watching!!

Haha. Back to the food. Hey not often we binge this badly okay... XD

And will you believe it... breakfast on the second day was EVEN better, with more selections and better stuff available. And even tho we woke up much later.... we went back to sleep after eating our fill anyways. XD The bed, huge pillows and thick duvet were too heavenly to give up just yet... and the super cold aircon... just makes me want to curl up in the warmth and not come out!!

Yeap... that's our perfect weekend together... just in each other's company. Two people in love.
But the damper just had to come -

Someone tried to steal Ernie's car. Right from the hotel carpark! After checking out, he found the car with the doors unlocked and the battery dead. Very suspicious as he DID lock the car and turn off the headlights. And after getting someone to jumpstart the car... the headlights were indeed OFF. And the moment they jumpstarted the car the alarm went off.... hence that car batt probably ran out cos of the alarm ringing all night - someone probaly did tamper with the car, and couldn't drive it off as the steering wheel was locked. We made a report and thought everything was over...... After I left Ernie's car actually died in the carpark again and this time couldn't be jumpstarted... so he had to buy a new battery altogether there and then. =.=

But I suppose we should be thankful nothing valuable was taken and the car didn't die on the road... And that aside... I'm glad we had a good weekend together to refresh and recharge.

It's back to training hard and eating clean once more!!!
