On to Day 2 of Redang...
Island hopping!!
=)
Thank god for the sun on the morning of the 2nd day!! I love snorkelling and it was great that we could go out to sea. Oh and we actually saw a wild turtle!!! (Gargh. If only I had an underwater cam. Gargh.)
And one of our stops happened to be Long Beach... where I was with my college mates more than a year ago!! Aaah... *reminiscences* :) Those were some good times...
My damn comel lil' bro
Yeap... see!! That's how Redang beach should look like!! Bright, sunny and a beautiful clear blue... ^^
:D
Day 3
Whoop. And there goes the weather again... =/
Random pic against the scenery... I got some weird expression... =.=
Oh well.
Dismal weather... :( Oh that place in the middle of the block of buildings happens to be the hotel gym by the way! Which looks really great for a hotel gym... and the lil' dot on the right hand side...
Is my bro.
Anyways the gym is pretty damn awesome cos it's all glass panelled and facing the ocean! But nah we didn't workout. Heck we workout every single day in KL anyways. XD
Hit the beach to take more photos....
The D-X pose!!!! rofls
There were people trimming the coconut trees at the beach with a chainsaw... this to prevent coconuts from falling on unsuspecting people....
And they actually gave us free coconuts cos we asked!!
And that's all for our stint in Redang... Hopefully the next time we go to the island again weather will be good.... :)
There was a 7-8 hour gap between our arrival at Kuala Terrenganu and the plane home... so we did some exploring and touring there too.
The Noor Arfa batik house
Buying keropok at the market...
Turtle eggs...... don't buy. They're some of the smelliest, most disgusting things I've ever eaten. Ick.
Couldn't resist.... buah salak!! I really like these and they're pretty hard to find... kinda like an acquired taste. I don't know anyone else who likes them and Ernie thinks they're gross. XD
Masjid Kristal
Very Taj Mahal-ish... it's a very beautiful building with walls, turrets and etc made all out of mirrors
Another angle
This ikan bakar place in Bukit Tunggal that our taxi driver reccomended. Damn good stuff. Fresh, and very cheap. Believe it or not... they don't weigh the fish and just slap you a price.
Yums.... seriously good sambal..... :D
And it was the night flight home. Sadly couldn't capture a pic of the gorgeous night scene from the plane... Nearly got into some trouble at immigration too. But I think it was darn worth it. You see.... when we were at the KT market... we came across...
:DDD
Yeap... steel ones. Ok la the blades are shorter than the sheaths indicate... but still... they were insanely cheap. By the way it looks wonky cos it came loose... not because of defect...
That wraps it up... and looking thru them Redang pics.... damn I really need to do something about that body of mine! Back to the grind and training insane!! After all that sambal and snacking and goreng-goreng... eating clean has never been a greater relief!
