(If you happen to be a hardcore Twilight/New Moon fan I suggest you click the lil' 'X' on the top right of this page to save your precious ears and eyes the bleeding. G'bye!)

I heard the most shocking thing on the radio driving to work this morning.

......

....

Y'ready for it?

......

Robert Pattinson being considered for the role of Superman!?

WTF.
Do I hear "heresy"?

I, for one, absolutely do not want a sleepy-eyed, college-boy looking kid in the role of the macho, ass-kicking superhero! Appaling isn't it?

Poor thing hasn't slept for weeks. Looks awfully hungry too. No wonder he's stoned.
I'm sorry I like Superman looking like he's at the peak of health, no? Is he gonna faint halfway thru rescuing his damsel in distress?

Well then again looks aren't everything I suppose. Let's say maybe he could pull it off, eh, with saaay... a killer, rock-hard body. Mm-mmm good!

Okay. Er. Bad photo. Bad, baaaaad photo. Fine. Maybe doesn't do him justice. 'Specially when he's so covered up.

Aah. Much better.
I forgive the expression. Everything else.... no.
In the words of my sayang - "Dracula could eat him for breakfast".

So I rest my case. You fellas are mad. MAD.
Sure he'll make the kiddies go all goo-goo-gaa-gaa, give a couple prepubescent gals the hots, and perhaps make you a pile of dough... but save the poor boy the embarassment, please. Keep him OUT of the spandex.

Dear God were they considering him for Spider-Man 4 as well? *facepalms*

AND in case if you're wondering, Taylor Lautner's no better.

And just because I always, always want my say (lol)... I honestly think there are some other amazing bods out there who may be more deserving of playing Superman.

How's THAT now for a real man? Here is former Mr. Olympia competitor Gunter Schlierkamp. Mean bod, and has got some pretty good looks goin' on there too! He's got a lil experience at acting too.

That's a pretty winsome smile too, eh?

Or how bout my fave competitor Jay Cutler? Wonderful V-taper, and shoulders like boulders! And I just loooove a good set of strong quads on a guy.

Something is dreadfully wrong with people these days. No wonder more and more men are coming into the gym and saying they wanna lose weight... don't wanna put on muscle... and lift like girls. They think girls won't like them anymore if they had on some healthy weight. C'mon fellas... don't we have anymore REAL men around??

Oh by the way check out the Robert Pattinson workout HERE . Oh yes there's such thing. Be very, very surprised. No wonder he looks like that. *pats* Oh wait I forgot he's supposed to play an undead, hungry being.

(Aspirant) Mr. Olympia workouts? Hop on over to Bodybuilding.com or any other bodybuilding resource site. Do your body a favour. Please. And believe me you won't go PHOOM and have 22" biceps overnight. (Oh how I wish!)

Hello hello.... If you're wondering, no I have not gone somewhere and died; neither am I ignoring the blog or giving up on it. No I haven't gotten lost inside Pet Society either. Am still very much addicted to making useless, random updates, rants, and photo posts. Just have been whacked-outta-my-head busy - Uni, work, clients... the same shizz... and on top of that my practicum for Bodybuilding Level 1... Easing off the training a little, starting to get worried about plateauing.

AND I'm keeping fingers crossed for my Sain Sukan I exam too. Diploma level certification condensed into 5 absolutely insaaaaaaane days. Whoosh.

Ooooh found a really nice picture of myself on Azlan's blog... :D My waist looks so small here kan... hehe.

L-R: Azlan, Buda, Kims. :)

And also if any of you are waiting for the BinaBadan trip pictures.... I'm sorry that they're taking so long... Haven't taken the time to go steal them from Flickr and upload and post.... *dies*

But here is a group pic taken right at the entrance of Zoo Negara! :D We all had a smashing time catching up with each other and taking a pleasant walk. Do sign up on the forums and be a part of our next outing! Very rarely we get the chance for all bodybuilding and fitness fans to get together and have a good time. ;)

And here is cheeky Iwan dropping by just to say hello. :) Was too bad he couldn't join us due to his busy schedule... But always next time!

Pfft. I gotta be off for class in.... 30mins. :(
Been awhile since I've done one of those stupid meme taggy things, so why not humour myself eh
.

8 Random Things About Myself

1. I love shopping. Especially for dresses... even tho they tend to be very unpractical - heck I spend 80% of my waking hours at the gym. Like wtf do I need so many dresses and heels and handbags for eh?

2. I like reptiles. Snakes especially. :) Always felt I had a certain bond with snakes... and coincidentally I'm born in the year of the snake!

3. I wanna make a spontaneous workout video!! XD Something stupid and funny to laugh about maybe....

4. Desserts are my greatest downfall =.= And baked goods. Believe it or not I actually really like those Gardenia 60sen cream rolls... the espresso and vanilla cream one.... T.T

5. EGG WHITES STINK. YUCKKK. I even wrote BLEAAAARRRRGH everytime the words "egg whites" appeared in my Sports Science textbook.

6. Is addicted to Pet Society. XD Yep. I'm a lifeless phreak whos in love with a pink virtual puppy that walks on two legs.

7. I'm currently debating over and over again whether I should invest in tug-ropes, a medicine ball and skinfold calipers for my clients..... :( Decisions decisions.... I want the very best for them but there's also just so many equips at hand that I could substitute with... and I'm unsure about the investment.

8. I'm VERY tempted at the moment to invest in a heart rate monitor and/or pedometer. *slaps*

Okay. End of random post. Bye bye, and hope I'll be able to write more (better quality posts too) when I have time....

I am worth, and deserve so much more. It's no big loss, really. Not mine, anyways.
I shouldn't be angry anymore. I have no reason to be.

Got things to get off my chest. Just don't know how to. O well byes.

My Bodybuilding Level 1 post-cert group photo arrived in the mail a few days ago! :D
Clicky on the thumbnail to enlarge and see if you can spot me!

Reaaaady.... FLEX!! Hehehehe....

Sorry for the lack of updates.... Have been uber busy as of late with many many things to settle.... as some of you may know, I'm leaving tommorow for another course, this time with Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN). Received my timetable a coupla days ago and fuuuh it looks gruelling. And I doubt they will be treating us as well as the Bodybuilding Level 1 course... giving us diet food and such. I foresee a week of nasi lemak, sambal, curry, kuih........ and home-packed meals. And no gym. Hooooo boy are we in trouble.

So yeah. I've been all over the place trying to make sure I have done as much as possible for my clients and uni before I run away on another hiatus..... OH and guess what - Ernie and I did an event with Everlast this weekend in Kuantan. We only just got home a coupla hours ago. As yes - Ernie drove all the way there, and all the way back! :D Our first long road trip! So proud of him too... remember we both used to be so paranoid about driving...

Oh by the way this was quite some time ago but I never got round to putting it up... and since I also got nothing to blog about right now....
I workout at Fitness First Curve every now and then to make use of their wonderful, wonderful Hammer Strength machines. And while going in and out I've come to be acquainted with some of the regular faces, and started speaking to some people too in spite of my initial "I hate designer gyms and I'm not here to effing socialize and you all are poofters" mindset. Last Saturday... I was approached by Jakeman of Hitz.fm out of the blue, in the middle of my workout, and he asked if he could take a video of me for his blog! Honestly I didn't know how to respond at first....

So here is the video for you.... not a very good one... and I looked completely flustered. Lol. And yes lah I know alot of you lift much, much heavier than me lah! T.T

Okay that's all for now. Let's hope I survive the coming week.

If one more skinny guy walks in here and tells me he wants to lose weight......

I swear I'm gonna have a nervous breakdown!!!!

*starts putting Dbol in the drinking water*

I'm back from my Bodybuilding Level 1 course and I must say I had a great time away at International Youth Centre for the past 4 days. Sure, it's not some fantastic holiday with travels or adventures or beaches with a 5 star hotel - it's Cheras fer cryin' out loud - but it was the company and new friends made that made the experience fulfiing, memorable and enjoyable. LONG POST COMING UP!!!! :D

I arrived at IYC at 7-something a.m. A good hour in advance as dad had to rush for work after dropping me off. Thought I would be stranded there alone for some time but there were already people hanging around the lounge. That's how I met my first friends on the course - Rodi, Fizey and Ismail, who arrived from Johor at 4am!

The lobby of IYC

The registration, which look quicker than expected and started on time!

The majority of participants were bodybuilders, and the others personal trainers, sports science students, gym owners, and "budak-budak baru" who just started bodybuilding and came together with their mentors. And I was very, very surprised to see the amount of people that recognised me and knew my name... x.x And how embarassing - some guys spotted me at my own gym when they visited EF once or twice and I didn't know them. Some guys have seen me at comps. One guy recognised me as "Man Toyol's friend". Lol wtf.

OH and guess what!! The owner of the newly opened Az Gym in Bahau, Azmi, is here too!!! I told him I would DEFINITELY drop by to lepak and train the next time I'm in Bahau. Wanted to go during CNY but he was closed. I'm so glad we met during this course and got to talk. Looks like I won't be so alone after all when I next go back there!

Sazali Samad was present on the first day, just to catch up with his friends who were there and sat thru a few lectures.

The classroom that was going to be our "base" for the next few days. Here is Lt. Kamaruzaman, Secretary of the MBBF, giving the opening speech.

My room! I was the only person on the course who took a single room. Thought it would be better for me to not share keys as I had all my food and protein with me, and would be doing alot of moving about running up and down during my breaks to the gym. There were two other gals on the course, but only I was actively involved in weight training.

One of our lectures - En. Jasni from MSN giving us a talk on anatomy, physiology and general exercise science.

Francis Yong with his segment to touch on the rules and regulations of competitive bodybuilding.

And for the 7 compulsory poses.... Oh yea Buda Anchah was actually in this batch of aspirant trainers. Lol. Sooo... needless to say his friends singled him out for this one and he got called out to the front to perform the poses.... and everyone screamed for him to "tanggal baju" (a few "tanggal seluar"s too!) which he complied to after pretending to be shy for awhile. Lol.

Everyday we had an hour's break from our lectures (on top of mealtimes) and during then we would watch video clips about training techniques, bodybuilding at home and things like that. Our hours there were really maxed out at absorbing everything we can and even when we were relaxing and having fun! And on the first day, we watched the free posing routines from 2009's Mr. Olympia which had everyone glued to the screen in awe.

Mealtimes doubled as a time to get together, mingle and get to know one another better. On the first day the caterers didn't prepare any food for the dieting bodybuilders so many of them resorted to home-packed meals... or wiping out the restaurant's entire stock of eggs. XD But even so the regular menu, even tho cooked in curry or gravy, comprised of lots of chicken breasts, fish, and beef; except for the breakfast and tea-time menus which were extremely carby. And Mr. Halim had been so kind, telling me on the second day to go sit with the competitors and have specially prepared "diet food", and even ordered egg whites for me when the food ran out!

Not bad right!!! :D

Unexpectedly, I ran into some members from the Binabadan forum! Turns out Ichi, Eddy and a few others workout at the IYC gym. And Soulreaver himself... or Rashid, works there! And he has been very accomodating and hospitable, keeping the gym open way past the normal hours so that I could come in to workout after the day's classes. He even got someone to go out and buy milk for me when mine ran out, and brought me out to makan.

Cheras got some of the biggest tandoori I've seen. And at RM5 too!! Fuuuh

An Indonesian bodybuilding magazine "Reps", with Zetri Munir on the cover! He won the Mr. Prolab Challenge overall last year.

Oh and thanks to Rashid... I also have a huuuuuge storage of bodybuilding e-books that are probably gonna be lasting me till next year! Hehe.

Mr Halim's 5Fs of bodybuilding success.
And Buda wants to come up with his 5Bs after seeing this. Lol.

Practical sessions! Everyone was divided into groups of 12-14 people under a respective leader. I was put into Halim's group. I think I was very fortunate for this cos Halim was very strict about form and technique, and for our exam he didn't just want us to be tested for what that was in the syllabus, but he also wanted us to be creative and come up with variation of the exercise (i.e if you are performing a bench press, you have to also explain variations like the dumbell press and the differences between incline/flat/decline, and alternatives like using water bottles for a female client who cannot handle the weights at first), and also safety issues (grip technique, back extension, use of collars etc) I don't think the other groups did this so I believe all of us in Halim's group had much to benefit from.

Some snapshots from our practical sessions

And the other groups at work

Vincent Ho's first-aid and CPR training session, which was probably the most entertaining session of all! We had all sorts of stupid questions, jokes and had a really good laugh. But it was informative and educational. I think this was probably the only session where everyone was so alert and giving 100% attention to!!

Apa jadi kalau seseorang itu tercekik? Apakah yang anda akan lakukan...?
(from the back of the class) KAKI KASI AMBIK NAIK ATAS!!!!! *and everyone starts rolling around in laughter*

Aaaaand it's crunch time. We had our fun and we had our games... but there was the exam on Friday to study for! Again, I am very thankful to have my own room, and could study in perfect peace.

Hanging around outside the gym, waiting for our turns to go in for the practical exam.

*last minute studying!*

And finally, the course draws to an end.... we had a group photo outside IYC, and then everyone was just mingling and taking pictures and exchanging contacts.

With new friends Azlan, Azwan, Fizey and

Suzaili

With Azlan and Nurashid

Shidi and Mokhtar from Perak. I was in the same practical group as Shidi, and he is such a nice and friendly guy to hang with. He's from the Air Force, and travels to KL quite abit so I hope we will be meeting up again one day!

And here is me with Buda. Buda started off keeping to himself and his gang alot at the beginning of the course, but we ended up sitting next to each other cos he was late one day, we were all divided into groups already and he didn't have a seat. That got us talking and by the end of the course he was stealing my notes! *whack* He also offered to give me a lift after the course to the LRT station. Got to pick his brains about training and dieting, and had to chance to ask for his advice about getting tattoos (Buda has two dragons and a pheonix adorning both his arms and upper back). Apparently it's not advisable in the local scene and he had trouble with it as well in the beginning. But once you compete outside Malaysia tattoos are a very common thing and not a problem as many bodybuilders out there are even more extensively tattoed. So looks like I won't be getting mine yet for a long time to come.

Lt. Kamaruzaman giving the closing speech.

It was a valuable experience indeed. There's always something about all us gym people being able to get together in one place and put our heads together. But the course isn't over. We have a practical assignment to complete over a span of 3 months, requiring us to train someone, design a program and write out something like a module (with pictures, explainations, materials etc) to be submitted back to MBBF for grading. I'm glad I decided to sign up for this as it was a great opportunity to refresh my memory and meet new people. Hopefully one day we will all meet again at one of the competitions or courses. Take care everyone, you all will be very much missed!

After a long, looooong series of makans... and a very enjoyable weekend catching up with members of Probuffedbodies and Binabadan Forum, (oh, pictures coming up soon!!) I should think that it's high time to suck it up again and bring back the focus. Happy to say I've been eating fairly clean tho... plenty of proteins... and in spite of the naughty snacking I've been training very hard, Muscle Gym old-school fashion. Lol.

Whether that's good for me or not tho.... hmmm. Coupla joints acting up including the ever-troublesome elbows but the former hip injury hasn't reared it's ugly head since Adam's myotherapy sessions. So all's good and I feel great! Ok maybe 'cept the dieting part........ Tuna and egg whites and boiled chicken breasts..... BLEARGH! And I need to stop obsessing about when the next cheat day's gonna be. Urrrrrrgh.

I'm squatting 20kg per side ON MY OWN for 6-8 reps. Now that is an achievement considering I could barely squat 5kgs painlessly last year. Trying to sleep more, eat better and remain as stress-free as possible. I'm not recovering from my other sorenesses as quickly as I'd like since stepping up to train with the big boys. I've found a reliable "support system" lately and am thankful for these people being there to give me that extra shove in the hardcore direction.

Goodness me I've been so busy with life. Tonight I shall be packing up for my Bodybuilding Level 1 course. Will be away for the next 4 days and believe it or not I'm actually pretty excited about it! 4 days away from work and my usual hectic whirlwind. None of my usual responsibilities, uni, or anything else bugging me. Just 4 days of what I love doing most. But can't help be worried about certain things I will be leaving behind, especially where work is concerned.

O well. Been awhile since I posted any pics of myself too. So to humour you guys, here's one before I go from last year's gym shoot. Don't miss me too much! :P

Great news! I'm back on Facebook!! :D

Oh and on top of that, guess what.

Faidzal is back at work here in EF!! He is indeed a presence that has been sorely missed. :) The guys were glad to see him back too. For the first time in a long while, the guys from the evening crowd hung back longer after closing, sitting around and hanging about, and just catching up. Hopefully... after a string of misfortunes, things will start looking up from here for me. And I also hope that with Faidzal's return we'll start seeing the original "old gang" back here again with time.

Now I just hope I don't drown in the sea of uni assignments, exercise programme designing, PT sessions, training, diet planning, and misc research and readings.

One bad thing after the other........

My Facebook account got disabled.

And I have no idea why, how or for what reason it was removed. It's really strange cos the FAQs said they would send a warning notification if you've breached their terms of use. Have sent an email to the support team and hopefully I will see some positive results. According to a number of other people who have gotten their accs banned or removed for no reason at all, apparently it is because "suspicious activity" has been detected on your account, or someone was trying to hack into it. And in most cases... you never get your acc back. Those who do get it back after like, a month.

Will wait a couple days before devising any action, so.... URRRRGH. If you don't see me on Facebook, I HAVE NOT DELETED YOU, and neither am I avoiding you or ceasing contact with you, or whatever conclusion you may jump to.

I might be creating a new email and Facebook account soon. May switch over to a new MSN contact as well so check back soon, and I will also do my best to keep everyone updated.

AM SO, SO MIFFED COS THERE WERE SO MANY PICS AND CONTACTS ON MY FACEBOOK THAT I MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO GET BACK!!!!

And there's also my Pet Society acc that I worked so hard on...... :( *sighs*
