Firstly I'd like to say

to everybody, regardless of race or nationality. :D Hope everyone has had a refreshing holiday, with lots of time to catch up with loved ones.

I'm currently sitting in a cyber cafe in my parents' hometown, Bahau (some lil town somewhere in Negri Sembilan). For the past few days I've been getting by with absolutely no connection, hence my absence from online circles. But well... I'll be back home in KL pronto! Or I hope so.... :P

CNY has been pretty alright for me and I am feeling better since my last emotional tirade/outburst. I'm pretty happy this time I didn't have to answer uncomfortable questions or have to socialise with people I don't like... (oh believe me you never know whos gonna screw you over... I would know better) Managed to catch up with people I've not seen in aeons.... yeap. :) Gyms were closed (bleargh) so I've been missing training. But looking on the bright side I've been taking this opportunity to cram in lots of intensive cardio - its been jogging, hiking, jogging at every opportunity. Hitting the Bahau mountain for hours at a time, 3-4 laps. And it feels......HELL YEAH them calves hurt so good! Besides that and the angpow collecting... I've been keeping myself as busy as possible here with Ernie's new webpage. Heck. How else is a gal gonna pass time!?

Will write more when I'm back in KL... Gotta help Ernie move into his new condo as well... Hehe.

Sometimes I honestly don't know why I try so hard.

Especially for things that don't matter to me and only to others...
Putting so much effort into things that don't benefit me and mean nothing to me but only to the pride of others...
And at the end of it all get into all the trouble and be shouted at about being useless and having no initiative and the classic "why can't you be like other people/other people's children".

I'm tired.


I try to show I have a drive and a passion for things.... show I have long term goals and dreams... and I have things I'm proud of. But its never enough. What drive and what passion I have is never enough or never good enough for others. Yeah, sure, all of you would be so proud if I was going to study medicine or law or something like that.... or if I had a passion for, say, quantum physics. But noooo.... I'm just a girl who's heart and soul is in the gym... and loves the arts, regardless whether it's performing, crafts or language. And they think the little things I do in my spare time like paper crafts and sewing are just a big waste of time. And that my modelling and freelancing is such a shameful thing. And these idiots think I'm going to do it all my life despite my constant clarifications that it's only a temporary thing!

I'm not perfect. I don't have the answers to everything... but I'm expected to have them anyway. And when I don't I get into shit for it. Even when I try to prove it's not my fault for something I get even MORE blame for it.

I don't have dreams of going to a large, prestigious education institution, or to go overseas. And for not, I'm always at the butt of ridicule and hurtful comments, and am always being compared to someone else.

I'm always trying to be friendly and fun and accomodating. Even with people I don't like. But I get tired too and when I just want to retreat away into my personal space and silence I get branded as antisocial and arrogant. Some people wonder why I can't just go "screw it, I don't care, I live my life..." and that is because these people just CANNOT UNDERSTAND what I have to go through and neither do I have their priviledges or freedom.

I wish people would sometimes just cut me some slack. I'm human just like everyone else and I can't be perfect all the time. I can't fit every mould or every perception or every whim. I'm bound to please some, and at the same time displease others.

I drastically cut my own needs to meet the needs of others and at the same time try to give continually emotionally and physically.

I'm tired of having to be there for people... but when I am in need.... nobody's there for me.

This time... I'm wondering why I try so hard to make everyone happy but myself.




p/s: If any of you want to know how I did for A-levels or what I'm going to do next... DON'T ASK. And no I didn't fail.

Hm. Why am I not looking forward to it.

Oh yeah. Cos I'm going back to Bahau. And won't have anyone to talk to (or anyone I enjoy talking to) beyond the walls of Bahau Fitness WHICH I HOPE WILL BE OPEN.... But I guess it's ok.... I'll be keeping myself (hopefully) busy enough with several self-assigned projects, including Ernie's new web template and another cosplay project.

Hence a last-minute shopping dash down to Kenanga and Timesquare this morning. All the way there to find some of their materials are not in stock.... =.= And HOLY SCHMOLY!!! The price of fur has been jacked up!!!! Damn these fellas must've realised how cheap they've been selling and have boomed the price to equal those at Sungei Wang and Petaling Street. So yeah. Returned home empty-handed. Pffft. *stamps*

And oh guess what.... I had my first acupuncture experience today.
It was.... interesting. No pictures unfortunately..... Basically I've just had it with the monthly cramps I'm getting, which can be pretty severe. So yeah. Hence my appointment with a sinseh.
It doesn't hurt so much, really. Just a very odd 'numbness' shooting up my legs when he inserts the needles into certain 'pressure points' in my shins.... So now I got this weird sensation in my ankles like I've been running for days. Weird. *shrugs*

Anyways, any guesses what this is?

VIMA was a blast!!!!

A bunch of us from Annwyn were invited to present two awards and churn out a coupla performances at the inaugural Voize Independant Music Awards on the 17th of January, at Titanium Dance Club.

And did we totally rock the show!!!

Yeap. Did alot of acting, yelling, beating people up, making people laugh... doing a sexy, steamy makeout scene (no, seriously)...... XD

Apart from a few lil' glitches, i.e the ever present technical problems... and some pretty unexpected crowd reactions...... everything went awesome. Andi, Anna, Ernie and Kimmie, GREAT WORK EVERYONE!!!!!

BTW... I know Deathwish and Black Queen never met in the original X-Men storyline - Deathwish never even existed to begin with, here Deathwish and Black Queen are together in accordance to one of our skits where Deathwish is Black Queen's consort/love interest.

And other things I've been wanting to do while I'm still pretty free... I've been meaning to do up my room. 2 years ago I designed and painted my walls in pink and lilac, and had a coupla things upholstered. And this time I'm thinking about extending my designs down the corners of the walls, and paint the door and cabinets a more matching colour among other things. After all, my room is like a retreat and where I spend most of my me-time. So why not a lil extra effort to have it looking fun and fab?

And about 2 days ago I thought I'd try out KFC's new Zinger Tower burger... It looked like a regular Zinger burger... but with a hash brown and spicy mayo. I was intrigued enough, I mean I love hash browns and I loved the ori Zinger burger.... so why not eh?


Verdict: It sucked.
The sauce was too spicy for my liking... and the hash brown was so soggy... it felt like biting into a regular Zinger burger with a very thick, mooshy (and very oily) bun. On top of it all.... it was NOT FILLING AT ALL. =.= Cheh. Original Zinger burger for me anytime.

That aside... I have been sick. No not sick in the head you doof.
Must've been the cold curry the family tarpau-ed from the mamak last night... so yeah. Kimmie is down with food poisoning. And has been sleeping all day, leaving the room only to groggily rummage for food, or make a drunken, desperate lurch to the bathroom. *bleaaaaarrrrgh*
All this one frickin' day before my event. Greaaaaaaat.

But thank God I'm feeling considerably better after my veggie sub dinner... feels like a sore throat and fever might come on too, but argh I'm gonna have to ride it out the best I can... :(

Whee they've grown long!

In my two days of absence, I returned to find that EF has done a masssiiiive revamp. The gym looks so, so different... which is a good thing for me at this point I guess cos I was indeed contemplating a change of environment... Extended the weight room... lots of floor space, and we now have THREE gorgeous dumbell racks :D Downside - No mirrors except in front of the benchpress. WTF. Gonna take awhile I guess to ''settle in'' again. Definitely a different feel as everything is so spread out. (Kimmie malas to walk across 2 shoplots to the next equipment... =.=) Hopefully more new equips are gonna be brought in real soon to fill the 'gaps'.

Actually went shopping with my mom for the first time in... forever; at Pasar Seni this morning. Supposed to look at dresses but somehow along the way it became bag shopping instead... And check out the awesomest dinner clutch we got to share..... :P

I've started taking classes again at the gym after more than a year's break to OD on the weightlifting. And it is SUCH A RELIEF to know I haven't left every single skill to rot yet. Monday's aerobic class was the bomb and I have the sweetest instructor ever. Theres another class tonight and I am so, so looking forward to it :D On top of that... I've forgotten how therapeutic it is to cycle at night when the roads are empty and the air is cool.

Was awesome meeting up again like old times and catching up with one another... ^^ I'm honestly really glad I blocked off some time to see some friends this Jan... hopefully will be going out with others in the coming week too. :)
