I believe I may have hit plateau again. And... it's 4 days before the Redang vacay...
Oh god needless to say... I'll be looking disgusting even if I hit the sands in, say... a burka.
*sigh* I hate that I get so beat down and depressed about training... get so tired after a certain stretch of enthusiastic, hardcore lifting and pumping.

It's not a matter of lack of motivation either... I have LOADS of friends telling me to buck up... people giving me a friendly push... people offering a spot or buying me a protein shake... And I've always been the go-getter and the lil kid on some sort of a hyper drive at EF. I'm amazed at the amount of people now who ask me why am I not training when they see me just sitting on my own in a corner. I tell myself it's all in the head over and over again and yet I feel this funk... like I'm stuck in a rut... feeling nauseous, depressed and so very tired. And I just CAN'T take a break....

I feel fat. I feel ugly. Yet I feel I don't wanna bother. I want to be completely irresponsible about the foods I eat. I don't want to care how much I'm lifting. Don't even want to bother about whether it's arms or shoulders or back or legs today. All I want to eat is roti canai and sambal tumis and chocolate mousse cake. I don't want to buy creatine and whey... I want to buy makeup and shoes and normal girly stuff instead. Have I mentioned bodybuilding is a bloody expensive lifestyle?

Just because I love what I do doesn't mean I can't get disillusioned and tired of it. I wonder why am I this different. I wonder why I can't relate to most people beyond the gym. I wonder why so far down my past, when little girls were playing dress-up and masak-masak and ring-around-the-rosie.... I was picking fights with boys in my class. People loved the pop stars... I idolized the muscular woman in the poster of a gym equipment store (I found out many many years later it was Valentina Chepiga). *sigh* My love, my dream; my blood, the air I breathe... my curse, my greatest enemy, my tormentor.

Sigh. I'm talking rubbish again... Just needed to get things off my chest. Whatever it is... I'll get back on track soon. My faith in the iron shall prevail... in time. Ciao and goodnight, world.


[edit @ 1.27am] For some stupid reason or another my favicon is no longer showing on IE!!! Arrrgh... If you are using an IE browser but CAN see my favicon (it's a black stripper heel on a pink background) do give me a holla cos that would take abit off my mind...... weirdly enough the favi shows on Mozilla... and NO I've not fixed my Mozilla codes yet... neither do I know how to - the marquee/scroll html doesnt work there no matter what I do!! My custom cursors aren't compatible either which is such. A. Fucking. Letdown. *hysterical scream* Someone buy me Baskin Robbins. Please. Or a nice frothy Dymatize butter toffee shake. Whatever.

I am back from a weekend in Bahau, Negeri Sembilan, a.k.a my parent's hometown, for Cheng Beng. It's been... interesting. Lol. Okay most of you know I whine and groan and try to get out of going there as often as I can... but this time round I've actually been looking forward to it, cos I actually have things to take care of... like buying beads and rhinestones from this wholesale bridal outlet I discovered during CNY... and getting a lil haircut... and an appointment with my mom's tailor! Yeap... I'm getting some clothes and a few dresses made... :P Mom and I have been material hunting up to two weeks in advance!!

Best thing about this tailor... she works fast. Seeeeeriously fast. Gave her my measurements and materials yesterday, and today we've already brought home some of our clothes! Still have some stuff left with her to be collected the next trip, and I seriously hope they turn out fab... *fingers crossed* :)

So yeah because we were so busy this trip, time went by pretty quickly. Oh and of course something else that made it alot, ALOT more bearable.....

Lol anyways... hehe it was great having Ernie around with me in Bahau... my mom and I bringing him around town, bringing him to try the food, going hiking and etc... tho I felt quite guilty for neglecting him at times to get my stuff done... X.X Oh and get this.... everywhere we went.... people STARED.

Ok yeah, people stare at Ernie for his appearances, build and sheer size all the time... but not as blatantly and openly as the people in Bahau! Some even made loud comments about how muscular he was that had us sniggering! XD Everywhere we went... Ernie drew copious amounts of attention and admiration. LOL. Oh that's not all - the maid told me how handsome she thought he was... and that I've brought a really good one home this time.... :P Being the natural charmer that he is, he got along great with everyone as well!

And then there was a very unexpected family reunion dinner for my paternal side of the family... so he came along too... (I was actually pretty paranoid about it cos most of my dad's side of the family doesn't know about him and there are like, SO many of them...) Apparently many of my relatives told my mom how Ernie and I look alike, and how we complement each other so much! XD My mom too had nothing but good things to say about him, his achievements and competitions... and as always people were impressed by his physique. Lol. That's Ernie - the showstopper, the main event, and my uber macho, alpha-male of a significant other. :P
HELL YEAH I'm proud of him!!!!

Hopefully the next trip there will be more time to bring him to visit more places, see more sights and also give him alot more attention and TLC.... hehes... ^^ Oh yay I've had my carbo fix too!!!

Went to try out this place called Ribs at Oasis, BU4 last Friday after our event...
Okay we didn't know the menu consisted mainly of pork dishes... which automatically meant I can't eat like 80% of the stuff there.... =.= *sigh* But I suppose if you're a pork lover it's the place to go...

Some baby back-ribs Ernie ordered... can't give my verdict as I didn't have any of this, but he claims it was pretty good. But the BBQ sauce that was served with it was fab... had a rather strong wine aftertaste.

Pan-fried fish with butter and lemon sauce. Was quite a surprise that they used actual codfish, even more so when I expected they'd be using those cheap dory fillets! A tad too salty. But still pretty okay...

The banana+apple crumble with Haagen Daaz ice cream that they recommended us. It's actually served up in a shallow dish of fresh cream, and the scoop of ice cream was (another surprise!) encrusted with a layer of white chocolate.

So yeah guess it's a pretty decent place to eat at, if you got some cash to spare... lol, AND if you do eat pork... :) Food is rather pricey and portions are small, but hey why not, I suppose, for something a lil different.

I'm back!!!

And boy am I glad. The 3 days at Berjaya Timesquare was arguably the most tiring stretch of all the promos we've done. The crowd was one thing - literally being mugged by cameras and Watchmen fans up down left right.... no chance to relax your poses, no chance to adjust a boot or a hair out of place... no chance to scratch an itch or pick a nose....... lol. Felt like I was going to have my retinas burnt to a crisp by the unceasing salvo of flashes..... O.O I'm so effing tired and seriously don't want to wear 4 inches for awhile. And damn I wanna have some good ol' home-cooked food for a change. And I wanna sleep early and get up late!!!!

It's been good fun nevertheless... met an old friend very unexpectedly who was also freelancing at the same event. Been having Subway lunches (which I absolutely love) on the company. And of course, the on-scene anonymity of a costumed event if you get what I mean.... Oh and there's that big fat paycheck as well..... ;)

A Muay Thai gym just opened across the road from EF...
It's been open for about 3 days already, and is REALLLLLYY well equipped. And I thought it was really really odd that there are always so many people inside, so soon too... yet there is no signboard, no advertising whatsoever etc... and nobody would know it's a Muay Thai gym as it can only be seen from EF's weight room...

So I decided to drop by and enquire... spoke to this rather charming Thai instructor... and guess what the moment he saw me he was like, "Ohhh... ok... you're from over there..." (not in a nasty way lah of course) XD

Turns out they are not offering classes for now...

And the vicious, vicious men I've been watching from afar and also met today turned out to be the national Muay Thai team... O.O That gym happens to be just a training ground cum hangout only for the team... thats why its not being publicised...

Oh and you know that TV show The Contender Asia? The Tiger Kings? Well... believe it or not, the instructors are coming down tommorow... (O.O!!!)

Aaaaand.... guess what... I was invited to chill out with them. (O.O!!!!!!!!!!!)

Here are some behind-the-scene photos I randomly snapped from today's action/cosplay shooting with Sam Tan and Sharon! Now Sam is a very talented, creative photographer and having this session with him is a priviledge indeed.

At work. Gruelling shoot... not cos of performance pressure or time... but cos of the terrain, heat, and mozzie swarms!!!!!! And also cos of my aching shoulders and arms... tsk look what trouble your stupid ego can get you in Kims....

Oh and have I mentioned.....

... that my Ernie now DRIVES????? :DDDD
I'm so proud of him, really!! And all that effort he's put into it.... He drove me to the shoot... and has also been driving me to my beautician and to my haberdasheries, saving me the trouble of cycling under the sun.... *loves*

And after our shoot today he decided to bring me to Frontera @ Jaya 1 since he can drive now and we have been itching to go ever since we've heard some good reviews about the place. I didn't take photos of the restaurant as it was pretty dim... surprisingly pretty small... but service was superb!

The recommended beef enchiladas with Mexican rice and refried beans... Was quite okay... moderate portions. Beef was very well-prepared and I actually kinda liked the beans despite the pungent taste.


The Fiesta platter I ordered... consisting of crispy chicken taquitos, chicken tenders, cheese-stuffed jalapeno peppers and Habanero BBQ chicken drummets; with cilantro ranch, honey mustard and jalapeno dipping saucesI looooved the taquitos and jalapenos!! Chicken tenders wasnt too bad either.

Oh and this.... is a Habanero pepper. Couldn't resist temptation after Prakash insisted I ask for a sample... and insisted I must ONLY take juuuust a little sliver of it...........

I've been training from 5pm-10pm. :P
Yeap. I daresay the craziest most injury-inducing shoulder+arm routine (plus cardio) ever in my 4 years of bodybuilding. Only took a break to grab a tau sar pau.... lol.... My god... 5lbs felt like 45lbs and 30 push-ups felt like 3000 at the end of it all. My arms feel like they're about to fall off... haha... but daaaaayuuum.... that sweet, sweet satisfaction....

But oh god I'm won't be pulling that again anytime soon....... XD

I'm starving. Lol.

It's gorgeous, intricate, and definitely up to my expectations... OK fine it's not as hardy as I expected it to be... a lil bit fragile too for a person like me... but on the visual side it's two thumbs up. And for now my precious is gonna be nestling in Ernie's place until I find a way to transport it to my house.... XD
